Subject: USMC band? or Arthur Pryor?
It sounds suspiciously like Arthur Pryor's band, especially in the brass. His is the best rendition of it by far. Arthur Pryor's bands most famous recorded version was 1925. The audio on this is not so great, hopefully I will be able to locate Pryor's album of this march. Cavalcade of America Band Music in America part 2 has an excellent recording of this National Emblem March, performed by Arthur Pryor's band. If you play this one, and his side by side it is uncanny. But, I am not so sure of the quality of this recording, but one would be hard pressed to find a decent one considering it was released almost a century ago. I still enjoy it being accessible through the archive site though
